The vision of the Victor Elementary School District is, “To prepare students to be able to select from a variety of career opportunities and to be successful in the world of work.” This vision is accomplished through VESD’s mission, “All students will be at or above grade level in reading, writing, and mathematics.” With over 90% of our community supporting our district’s vision and mission, VESD stands committed to your child’s success now and for their future. A prepared workforce is this community’s #1 priority!
Earlier last year VESD unveiled the Victor Elementary Education Foundation, which is committed to providing a full two-year scholarship for every VESD student who successfully promotes from the sixth grade and graduates from a high school in the Victor Valley. Though scholarships are currently awarded based on competitive criteria, the Foundation has raised over $150,000 from VESD employee contributions, and is approaching the community and local business leaders this year for their support to ensure higher education is within the reach of all children.
Our district team is working to create partnerships between elementary and junior high schools with its comprehensive Careers Curriculum and Bridge Program, finding a way to create a seamless transition for every child from elementary to high school to their college or career track. Whether a student enters a two-year college, four-year university, trade school or military career, we want to ensure each child’s skills and talents are directed to achieve their goals.
Our board is committed to representing this community, and does an excellent job addressing this community’s needs. Their work together has continually ensured the safest schools for children, while offering eight parent choice schools with programs ranging from Arts to Exploration to Sports and Fitness to fit the individual needs of each child. 94% of our community supports having choice over the school their child attends.
