School Accountability Report Card
Current School Accountability Report Card (English)
Current School Accountability Report Card (Spanish)
The governing boards of California school districts must annually prepare and issue the School Accountability Report Card (SARC) for each elementary and secondary school under their jurisdiction. SARC reports are required by law to provide parents, the local business community, and interested parties with important information about a school's progress in 16 key areas. These Conditions cover such topics as progress toward meeting goals in reading, writing, and arithmetic progress toward reducing dropout rates and the amount of funds spent on salaries and other services. The School Accountability Report Card was established by Proposition 98, an initiative passed by California voters in November of 1988.
